We design, build, and study technologies that help people connect and collaborate in new ways.
Andrés Monroy-Hernández will join the Computer Science faculty in the Fall of 2021 to direct the HCI group at Princeton. He is recruiting Ph.D. students and a postdoc interested in social computing systems research.
One of our upcoming research initiatives will focus on the Future of Work, exploring questions such as:
- How can we develop community-owned alternatives to existing “gig economy” platforms?
- What new models for distributed governance are needed to create more equitable and fair platforms?
- How can more stakeholders of these platforms have a more active role in determining how their underlying AI operates?
- How can new technologies, such as mixed reality, might enable new forms of work?
