Why Study Independent Restaurant Delivery Services?
Since pandemic-related lockdowns started in 2020, the growing food delivery business has spiked to new heights. Nowadays, there are hundreds of food delivery platforms all over the US. However, more than 90% of the market share in the food delivery industry is taken by Uber Eats, Doordash, Postmates, and Grubhub. This project aims to understand the emergence of locally owned and operated restaurant delivery services and how we can help from the technology perspective.
