Dr. Andrés Monroy-Hernández (Computer Science), Dr. Elizabeth Watkins (CITP), and a team of others are working on a project to improve the conditions of workers and other stakeholders in gig work platforms.
We’re looking for a research assistant with experience to join our team to help us conduct interviews and analysis on interview data. The interviews entail talking with couriers, restaurateurs, dispatchers, and patrons connected with a co-op food delivery platform that we have partnered with.
We are looking for someone with prior experience conducting interviews. Big plus if you’re already CITI certified!
The work would require a significant time commitment (minimum 10 hours per week). The research has a good societal impact and will be turned into an academic paper. We’re open to hiring this person as a “student worker 2” or “manager/tutor” per the student worker rates. Also, open to turning the work into an undergrad thesis down the road if that’s of interest.
Contact Dr. Watkins know if you’d be interested in interviewing for this role at firstname.lastname@example.org.
